Private Health – Communicate SLP is a registered provider with most health funds. You may be eligible for a rebate from your private health fund. Please check with your health fund to find out your entitlements.


Medicare Schemes Communicate SLP is registered with Medicare to provide services under Medicare Team Care Arrangement (Chronic Disease Management Plan & Follow-up Allied Health Services for people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent). You need to meet with your GP to determine your child’s eligibility and activate your referral prior to your first appointment. You must bring your referral paperwork to your first appointment.


HCWA & Better Start Medicare Items Children under the age of 13 may receive partial reimbursement for four assessment sessions (to assist with diagnosis or contribute to a child’s treatment and management plan) and up to 20 Speech Pathology treatment sessions. Speak to your GP or Paediatrician to determine your child’s eligibility for this plan.


NDIS PROVIDER – Communicate SLP is an approved NDIS provider and is able to support families throughout the roll out of this scheme in our area. Talk to us about your child's NDIS registration and the type of supports you may need.



The Australian Government provides early intervention funding through two programmes - Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) and Better Start for Children with Disability (Better Start). Federal Government FaHCSIA early intervention funding is available to children under the age of 7 years with an eligible diagnosis. FaHCSIA funding can be used to pay for services at Communicate Speech-Language Pathology.
